What is our objective?
Dialogue, discussion and intellectual exchange in an open format, focusing on issues on which researchers are currently working or which they consider matters of debate. The starting point is the discussion of work in progress shared with the aim of advancing collective reflection.
Who is the seminar for?
Researchers in the Social Sciences, Humanities and Earth Sciences who feel the need for a careful and supportive space for debate and discussion around their work. We intend the seminar to be open and welcoming to contributions from colleagues across different fields of knowledge, although the initial emphasis is placed on Geography and related disciplines.
What is the format of the sessions?
We follow a general format of 1 hour and 30 minutes, in which one participant presents their work and a moderator helps to coordinate and stimulate discussion among all attendees. Alternative formats are occasionally proposed for special sessions.
How often do we meet?
We meet approximately once a month, on Thursdays, in person, in the meeting room of the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Geography and History, in Santiago de Compostela.
