Earth scientist, awarded a doctorate in 2008 by the Universities of Barcelona and Aix-Marseille III. He has extensive experience in R&D projects focused on Global Change, Natural Hazards, Fluvial Dynamics and Agricultural Sustainability at the Universities of Barcelona, Glasgow and Santiago de Compostela. His research includes quantitative climatic effects in polar and mountain regions, alluvial basin histories, fault activity through sediment geochemistry, radon-related air quality and soil formation. He specialises in cosmogenic nuclide dating and surface-process modelling, and has contributed to the development of numerical and statistical tools based on artificial intelligence for transforming geochemical data into predictive models.
